E85 and Engine Temperature

I've read numerous articles on the effects of E85 in non FFV engines. One aspect which doesn't get much attention is the difference in engine temperature when burning E85 as opposed to regular unleaded. Is there a significant difference? Is the higher temperature at which E85 burns damaging to the engine?
