E4OD with Factory Controller for 12v Swap?

I just picked up a 92 F350 4x4 srw Crew Cab. I was told that the IDI lost oil pressure and locked up. Haven't had time to dig into the IDI yet but I have a complete 12v W250 Dodge that I bought for the engine. Has anyone had any luck using the factory E4OD trans controller with a 12 valve swap. I don't want to spend $1200 on a trans controller. I know I would have to get the tack working and swap the 7.3 tps over to the injection pump. Thanks in advance.
