E4OD to ZF5

Trying to help a guy out with a trans swap and got a few questions -

He's got a 90 idi 4wd with E4OD looking to go to a ZF. I've done the C6 to ZF swap but not sure how much different to E4OD is.

1) How much length difference is there from E4OD to ZF? (both 4wd) When I did C6 to ZF on my 85 I was able to reuse both drivelines as the length was very close. Is the E4OD the same?

2) Will the E4OD floor pan clear a ZF? The c6 woln't as it's too shallow, but I seem to recall reading the the E4OD has enough of a raised section to work

3) Will there be an issue with the cruise/speedo? IIRC the trans computer is basically standalone and doesn't feed signal too anything else, right?

4) Will the E4OD cross member still work? On the C6 is does so I'm guessing it would but want to check.

I can't speak to driveline lengths, because mine was a 2wd. In a 2wd I had to get my front shaft re-tubed about 8 inches longer. The retune, along with 3 new spicer u-joints and a new carrier bearing was about 300.

The floor pan will clear...mine is still the auto pan with a hole cut in it.

Shouldn't be a problem with the speedo, doesn't a 90 have a cable anyway?

I still have the auto crossmember, but I had to modify it and its location to make it work.

Ok. The 2wd setup if different with the c6 too. I'd like specific info for a 4wd though.

Does anyone have an E4OD they can measure it? (bellhounsing flange to rear flange)
