E4OD Spacer

Sitting here thinking about this spacer issue I've had of late and just wondering. Would the big Fords, Mercurys and Linconlins have the flexplate spacer on them. I know its plenty of work to pull an E4OD in a wrecking yard so I was just wondering if others cars might have this setup. Thanks guys....

I haven't ever seen a gasser needing that many bolts securing a flexplate to a crank. I've often seen six, and rarely eight bolts.
When you run out of things to do on your truck, take it on a test drive to norkal and give me a hand shoving the motor and trans back into the Sulaco;p

I believe the spacer is to make up the space that the bellhousing adaptor takes up on an IDI. The IDI E4OD is as far as I can tell just a modified 460 transmission casting (bolt hole positions and bottom of bellhousing machined off).

Hmmm Road trip sounds fun.... What is a Sulaco... I've never herd of that ... Is it Russian or what... Maybe its Afgan or Irainian. Gees... I can't spell worth a tinkers darn.....
