I popped a code 26 (TFT or TOT - Transmission Fluid Temp or Trans Oil Temp) sensor out of range. Can any one tell me in English what this means? Was this caused by overheating the fluid when I came back from SC? Should I just reset the code and flush and fill the fluid?

If I understand correctly, the TFT is part of the solenoid pack.

Were you trailering or pulling particularly heavy when the code was set?

I would guess you overheated it or the sensor is bad. Clear the code and change the fluid and see if the code comes back.

Mike,
I was pulling the 5'r back from Lake Hartwell. Air temp was about 95* and heat index was over 100*. Coming up 85 there are some grades, nothing too major.

Tranny was about 185* when I pulled the code.

I'd change the fluid and reset the code. ;Sweet
