DT466 realities...

It’s beast of a swap. I made a few big mistakes along the way. I still have the motor and transmission and it may find its way into my dump truck at some point.

The DT466 into a Travellette that is in PA is still moving along slowly…

he is almost done with it from what I saw in a video he made a few months ago.

The REALITY is that it’s a bit more than a lone shadetree mechanic such as myself should have ever attempted.

BUT, because I did attempt it - I did learn some things and acquired a few skills that I still use from time to time.

what was the final nail in the coffin for you to stop the swap?

Travelette...HMMM, I`ve had International Harvesters since 1965, and that name threw me. had to do some Google searching....OH, it`s their name for a 4 door Pick Up.

Iam not so sure there is any more room under the hood of a Corn Binder than a Ford for the 466. Would love to see the Travelette project.
