Dipstick Gasket?

The other day I found that big nut that screws the dipstick onto the oil pan just hanging there and oil spewing out under my truck...I screwed it back on and im still leaking oil like a siv...Does it use a gasket, im going to fix it with RTV now but im wonderig if there is an auctual gasket that is supposed to be there?
