Have a steel soldiers forum member broke down in Allentown, PA at the hampton inn there. He has a small fuel leak, fuel contamination, and fuel filters clogged up. Fuel tank is a cloudy mist, which is more than likely junk from the tank that came up from him driving it. The truck sat for sometime in NY before he bought it. He is heading south from NY to Florida and does not have many tools with him nor alot of mechanic knowledge.
Truck is a 24v system as well, but if anyone in that area would be willing to help him get back on the road it would be great. Deuce tanks are pretty simple and have in tank pumps and drains. It is just the algae, crud, and all other crap that gets them clogging the 3 filters up on it. Basic socket set is all that is really needed to work on these trucks and box end wrenches.
Also a tank from a IH 4700 series will fit right on the deuce in place of the stock one. If someone has one.
