Well, just a short story to share.

Goldie was indoctrinted into the fire/rescue mode yesterday.
Had a rescue call where an elderly gentleman had a heart attack and the ambulance cold not get to him because of the terrain. Well, Goldie shining bright er a just the gold paint, stepped up to the plate and was not only able to traverse the terrain to the victim, but also transported him in the rear seating area cause of the comfort giving by this ole gal.
What was pretty satisfying was the victims wife commented on the size of the truck and said they sure don't make em this big and comfy any more.

I think even they rest of the guys on the department were jealous by the looks on their faces to see that big ole 6x6 walking back out of the woods.

I'll keep my new/old trucks just like they are. Who said older wasn't better?

That's pretty dang awesome Ron!! We definately can't make fun of her name now!! Any truck that would go up and rescue an old dude having a heart attack and bring him back safely can have any name it wants to have!! That's a really cool story! Way to go Ron!!

Ya, even tho being in the drivers seat was my place, my captain said she looked good goin' over the ground coming out just plugging along. Finally got him drivin' a Ferd even tho he snickered at her name. :draw
Kinda made me feel good cause the patient was doing ok last I had heard, so Goldie did good for an old truck as the wifey says.
The patient got to ride in 2 Fords that day only the Pokerchoke was the smooth ride to the hospital in the ambulance. The real truck did the grunt work!

We'll just have to go find krimmie's dog "hank" and see if he likes goldie
