I get this noise sitting at idle whether cold start or warm start that sound like a compression leak and it is RPM based(ie it speeds up at higher RPMs). I've replaced the vacuum pump, which needed to be done anyways, and it's still there. Sprayed, as much as I could, down with soapy water looking for bubbles indicating leaks and found nothing from the injector areas including injector bores, return lines/hats, vacuum lines. Still can't find it. No fuel leaks from the pump and no fuel in the oil to indicate a fuel pump diaphragm issue. Just thought I'd bounce this off of you guys and see if anyone has any other ideas or has had the same issue.

I did think about the exhaust mani.....I need to soapy water it when it's cold...any other time is moot heh heh. I just put in new Berus and tightened them down sufficiently but I will still check them.

I dont think torque on the gps is very high and i promise(though i normally dont use a torque wrench) over torqueing is way more dangerous than under torqueing.
