My pyro died at an inopportune time while I was towing my boat up north for vacation. At first it kinda-sorta worked if I tapped the gauge but now won't register anything. No obvious wiring issueor simple fix at gauge or from what I can see of the sender at the pedestal. Tried to take it easy for the 500 mile drive home up some pretty decent grades, but hard to do when when it takes wide open to keep up with traffic. Exhaust fell off at one point, a rusty 3' section of straight pipe. Amazing how much that quieted things down, wonder if that was in part from higher EGT. Don't seem to have burned a hole in any pistons though.
Anyhow, I've been wanting to put a proper set of gauges in the truck and considering Autometer GS (either electric or mechanical, haven't decided). They have a Pyro in that series in a suitable range. I like that style as I feel it suits the earlier trucks (mine is an '86). I plan to get a three pod pillar for a later truck and graft it onto my earlier pillar. Problem is I'd like to get oil pressure, coolant temp, voltage, boost, pyro. I'd prefer to have it all in the pillar. So 3 spots and 5 gauges... Anyone know of combination gauges (boost+pyro I've seen, forget the company though) in small size for a pillar gauge, preferably in an older looking style or similar to the factory 80-86 gauges?
