Why would it need new rotors at only 46,000 miles??

why is it so hard to believe the mileage is correct? from the pic it doesnt look like a typical PA truck. the body looks clean. ill bet you climb underneith it will be just as clean.
i picked up my truck only 3-4 years ago and it had 89k on the odo. and other then the cab corners the underside of the truck looks like a truck with under 100k.
and as far as the rotors go...if the guy was pullin a trailer with it with no brakes is it really that far of a stretch to say he overheated the rotors? maybe the guy liked to ride the brakes....maybe an unscrupulous mechanic told him he needed them and he blindly had them put on....
im not affiliated with this guy it just seems when a decent deal pops up all you guys want to do is find fault with an ad...

Its 26 years old... so it averaged 1769 miles per year... it may be legit, but its sure hard to tell from an ad. You would have to drive over and look at it for yourself.
Not trying to find any fault, but I would ask to see his service records. We bought a 1976 Class A motorhome a few years ago that had 29,000 miles onit- the owner had records that proved it was legit.
Its just a good old caveat emptor...

Another possibility is that with the low mileage it sat for a while, rusted the rotors. They will pulsate pretty bad, and need to be replaced.
But I agree, It could very well be original miles and you never know till you go look at it. See how the drivers seat is worn down, check the brake pedal if the rubber is worn down or not. My bet is that if it is original miles he would have some maintenance documentation.
You have to take the whole truck into consideration, but form the pics it looks pretty good!

Its a nice clean well kept rig in my eyes. Looking at the dash I believe the miles. The tank switching rocker is still showing the "F" & "R" easily. Red is really bright too but its nice to look at.... Where do you find them anyway. You do come up with the best looking.... Low mileage rigs anywhere.

Volume,..When you go to 3 auctions a week you are bound to run into these trucks.
Here is something else that I thouight was cool, take a look at the HVAC Controlls Correct me if I am wrong but, it seems that the yellow stickers came from the factory and were supposed to be taken off buy the new owner once they knew how to run the AC.
Well the stickers are still there!

As for the rotor thing, most likely the mechanical anti lock valve on the diff is in the "off" position from not hauling heavy loads and the fronts did all the work. I ruined a set in 35k once.
