this weekend i was in the middle of craming cardboard in front of the radiator, unhappy with what was on hand i started looking for alternatives and found some leftover foam pipe insulation- i cut a piece and stuck it in the grill, fit good and snug and looked good so i went to the local ACE and bought some more ($4.97) even had dark gray like the truck ;Sweet i used 12 pieces cut at 10 3/8" with a cut about half way through in the center to fit around the small vertical bar. i left the four slots around the ford oval open but could angle cut 4 more to fit those too

not sure if the 87-91 grill holes are the same but the stuff comes in different sizes, they fit pretty tight i cut them about .25 longer than i measured plus the holes are tapered so unless they shrink a lot they arent going anywhere, and if they do whats $5 :D

This is a great idea! I'm going to see if it'll work on the 92+ grilles...
