Its home

I got the truck today.
Its not too bad. The front is pretty clean along with the doors.
The bed is Rough, Rear bumper center rotted.
:hail It has the King pin front, It looks like newer rotors and brakes. Axle code c5 ?
Interior actually pretty nice.
I pulled the GV and will keep the front bumper probly the running boards, visor and cab lights Not sure about the 7.3 yet
Anyone interested in anything?
I thought about keeping it but I already have 2 trucks and a van .
Let me know
John

The axle code of C5 is 4:10 limited slip. I assume that the GV is an overdrive unit not a underdrive since it has the 4:10's but you might want to make shure of that. It would be a bummer to install it on your truck just to find out that it is underdrive. Assuming that is what you want.

Like I said it is too nice of a truck to part out, but since you are, I would be intersted in the grab handles and maybee the lights under them. Centurion tends to use quality parts. Could you let me know what shape they are in and maybee send me a close up pic?

Also Ron needs a new rear end, but I think he may be getting one from Mel.
Thanks!

The truck is nice but looked nicer in the pics.
The bed is Junk would need Motor ??, Rear tires Who knows if the trans is any good , I hoop the GV is good.
If the truck was Mint and needed a motor I would have fixed it up But with the 2 trucks I am out of room.

As far as the grab handles they are NICE they must be Stainless .
The lights I didnt pay much attention to. I will Check out and take a pic.
Thanks
John

getting parted out

I agree I hate to see good trucks getting parted out.
But I hate even more when you se a good truck going to the crusher.
This truck has a lot of good parts for the right person.
Thats why Im trying to let everyone get a chance at them.

Yea anyway! :backoff What the heck are you thinking? What did you buy it for, the GV? Actually, he is in Nick's back yard, and probably has less chances of ever being on the road again, then if it was over here. Shoot me a PM, and let's talk. I've got a 6.9 and C6 looking for a home.

Mel thanks fo taking it easy on me.:hail
You are right I am parting it out. I was hoping for some one to take the rest of the truck . but it doesnt look good.
I did buy it for the GV.
It was not as easy as un bolt and re install.
I callec GV because of the speed sensor cable issue, Here it turns out it cost me another $300.00
I had to buy a different wiring for the electronic speed and it being a manual, Along with the control box was an older one and wasnt compadable with the new wiring.
Go figure.
So by the way do ya nee any parts?????:rotflmao
I will be heading your direction this weekend.
Thanks
John

If you haven't parted it out yet much past the drivetrain, let me know what you'd want for the rest of it.
