Definitely a " new world" when dealing with dual voltage machines
I am seeing actual 12v compressor fridges, hmmmm
3 way fridges are super nice, but can be expensive. I wish my camper still had its 3 way in it, but someone took it out before I got it.... They work great with a small solar array and battery setup, so you don't use propane all the time.

Cliffnotes version:

The generator was putting out 157VAC.... uhhhhh...... voltage regulator was bad, i was able to steal the regulator off of another onan generator..... all is well now.

I let the generator power the coach for about an hour with no issues, AC running the whole time...... other than the horrible smell of propane engine exhaust in my carport, it was legit..... hardly moved the needle on the LP gas tank..... good times.....

Im calling it.....SHES READY FOR THE ROAD!!! So when the Lord absolutely lays down the plan for getting us outta here, we are ready......Joshua ch 3 and 4.....

On today's episode of "who's smarter than a 25yr old motorhome"..... Jesus Freak finds his batteries are dead AND he has a REALLY weird electrical issue....... que theme music...... take a load off fan*y.... take a load for free..... take a load off fan*y.....and...and... annnnnd....ya put the load right on meeee.....

So, I haven't crunk the coach up in a few days...... and we got some clear weather and I was gonna check something out, but the battery was dead.....well, mostly dead.....so I hit it with the jump box..... ran a while and died a minute or so after I took the jumper off it......oh no...not this again.... ultimately, it needed more charge.... but i got it running....happy.....good.....THEN..... it wouldn't turn OFF!!!!!.... oh no you ditnt..... but i don't mean you turn the key off, everything deenergizes, but the engine keeps going...... that would be easy, tedious and a bit pricey, but easy...... nooooo, I cant have "easy"..... I mean, you turn the key to the off position and NOTHING happens.....like, the dash is illuminated, i can hear the ABS pump going, AC is blowing, engine purring......like Twilight Zone......

It took me a couple hours to track this down.....but here's the Cliffnotes version followed by a question to those that might know.....

At first, I traced it to this solinoid.....(possibly the diode)having gotten stuck and feeding the "key on" side of these relays.....

I actually took the solinoid apart and cleaned it, it was just fine.... but purely by the inspiration of God.... i happened to notice the way the ABS key on relay was responding as I was reattaching the solinoid...... so get this.... theres a short in my ABS unit that is feeding back to the "key on" relays...... so if I leave this wire detached...... everything acts normal.....

So here's the question......

How important is it?..... can I just wire in a switch that I can turn on after I crank up the coach?..... do I "need" to fix this.....? Whaddaya think?....ABS units cost money.....its not a daily driver...... will I not have brakes?

How far out there is this thought....

Abs=antilock x x
How possible is it to lock them up on said chassis?
In snow yes, but...

However, if it's a canbus situation then you can't delete it with a switch..
I've seen that issue before, but I don't know what you can do to fix the a.b.module.

Fun fun fun

That's kinda my thought really...... I don't drive fast..... and i actually pulse my brake pedal like they taught you to stop in the 60s, i dont just stand on a brake pedal like kids today, and i can stop my dually on a dime...... as well as I have an engine brake on this thing......

I just went out and unplugged all the connectors on the ABS unit and it still doing the same thing..... there's 3-4 relays associated with the brake system...... i gave them all "firm taps" and got nothing..... Monday ill unplug relay after relay systematically and see if i can narrow it a bit more, but I believe the ABS block itself is okay as well as the electric brake booster motor....... we'll see..... unless someone pops up with the answer before then....
