Broke my damn shifter, welded it back together as a temp but the weld broke. So now I need a new shifter. Where can I get one and which one is it?

My crystal ball says that it is a T-19 with the curve. I would say that Pick and Pull on Sunrise would be a good place to start.

Sorry so vague. So I have an 84 t-19 with the s curve shifter. Now where can I find it new I have tried all dismantlers and picknpull. I see 3 options online but my truck is stuck in Folsom while I'm about 40 miles away in elk grove. I had someone measure it he said it was around 22 inches total. I don't see anything like that online. ***?

Get a pipe nipple large enough inside diameter to fit the shifter rod, weld both ends of the nipple, those welds won't break.

Thought about the nipple but was not sure if it would let me get into third gear. But I will see tonight.

Welding a pipe nipple will add some support to the break... No chance it will ever break again if you can weld...

Damn, how hard are you slamming gears? You've got to be gentle, like how you were with your first girlfriend... ;Really If you try to hard to slam her into gear, she will fight back and break your shaft, my friend... ;p

LOL

I broke the shifter on my t19, brute strength is what I call it :sly. I drifted through a red light and got pulled over by a cop. I welded a sleeve, just a piece of box that I had to tap onto and weld to the lower half of the shaft, and then I welded a larger piece of box to the upper part of the shaft. it slides right into place and a nut welded to the box allows a holding bolt to keep it all together. Drove it for years without a problem and it will never break.

I am not the best welder. So I had my buddy do it. Aparently he's not the best either. But I got a 1/2 ips nipple and planning on putting in on tonight.
