Well I got my hands on a 1992 F350 crew cab dually!!! With a banks turbo. The truck needs new glow plugs which I have. I also suspect it needs new injectors as the truck smokes really bad at idle like at lights but goes away on acceleration. Would it be bad injectors, beings it sat about two months without being started may be another problem, the last time it was fueled up was months ago....When it gets daylight tomorrow ill have pictures for you....Its got its problems but all minor I hope.

my truck tends to smoke at idle also. like setting at a light i can see it. looks white or blueish. when i push on it its black. im curious as to what would be causing this also. not sure how old my injectors are. as far as i know the ip is at stock level. if it was turned up would that cause the smoke?

Anyone got tips for driving this limo? haha. Im about to go out and change the oil and filter and put on new wipers....Truck has a leak underneath hopefully its not a big problem....Gonna try to clean the interior up a little. Thing shifts a lot smoother than the old truck. There is a small problem with OD gear when you throw it into OD you have to put it in gear and kinda move it to the left a little to get it to go without grinding, the guy said its probably a plastic bushing worn out in it. I will get pictures today.

Well I got the 4 easy glow plugs changed. IDK how it works or not but when I turn on the key the wait to start comes on for a bit then goes off but the controller is still clicking, is that telling me the remaining are bad? Here are some pictures. Any tips on fixing the rear fenders? Looks like someone had a blowout.

fender needs a little fiberglass work on it. most body shops can handle it. after chaging three gp last weekend i found that if the truck is cold and the wait to start light doesnt stay on more than 10 seconds there are other bad glowplugs. I changed the two under my factory turbo and one other after testing them with a test light. Now light stays on like 15 secs when cold and starts quickly.

I'm going with boost too. The fenders can be repaired with fiberglass. I did it in the spring but I can say my damage wasn't that extensive...Depending on where that damage is they may be too far gone. If I'm not mistaken there are a couple hips for sale down in the marketplace. Someone on here (I can't for the life of me remember who) said fiberglass fixes aren't the best on these hips as the hips are made of another material....but so far it's only been 6 mos and I can't tell any cracking or anything where I repaired mine.
Very nice truck!! After you get your glow plugs sorted out you need to break out the shop vac and armor all! ;ReallyLOL;Poke

Yup thats my plans, once I get the mechanical things done its time to clean up the motor and interior. I also looked under the seat and there is a build sheet!!!! I also seen in the glove box a credit card looking thing for the warranty it use to have, along with the owners manual. Anyone got tips on removing that window tint?
