It’s the weight distribution that makes it I’ll handling. My short bed 88 302 went like a tank in 2wd. It was a beast in 4wd. Part of that was not having enough power to break traction. LOL

I was pleasantly suprised with the way the van handles the snow. With decent tires it easily out performs my wifes fwd Sienna. Probably due to the added ground clearance.
^^^^^^ Ground clearance and the right winter tires can mean more than FWD. There's a LOT of on-street parking on our street, and after a six-incher or more, and then they come by with the plow, these local millennial-mobiles are incapacitated.

As for being front-heavy, that's also why there's a bed behind you, with room for sandbags. Or whatever. We happen to keep some equipment back there, which balances things out. That, plus Blizzaks, and knowing when to use 4x4 -- and knowing its limitations -- and knowing the limitations of the BRAKES, will keep you out of most any jam.
