I'm going to buy a new fuel pump and I was wondering if anybody has any good or bad experience with any particular brand. I lunderstand the benefits of the electrics, but I like the stock pump as it's a bolt on and the first one managed to last over 230K.

Any thoughts on brands?

i have a fondness for Airtex products. hasn't let me down over the years either, and if one does go bad....as long as I have a receipt and the pump body has a "A" with two circles around it, it get warrantied.

Thanks for the Airtex input Towcat, I've always had good luck with Carter mechanical but it good to here that there's other alternatives out there.

I haven't used one for an IDI, but Carter's have never dissapointed me in the gassers I've used them in. I'm not looking to lift 100% WMO, just want to have one in stock for when mine craps out as I think it's original.
