Have twin air ram around radiator to front-top of motor. Am building box to go from two 2x3 tubes to 4" turbo openning. About 8x16x6high on top of motor. Should I go for small filter and force the air through or large one that breathes better? All helps is appreciated.

That what I've been brough up on as well. Its just a personal preference, I havent seen any engine let go because of a K&N, but I know to many people telling me not to use one, to use one.

I have a K&N ,it came with my turbo. I have 335,000 on motor( 120,000 berfore having turbo installed). I am trying to get best size of filter(make or model) so I can size the box. I read the powerstroke threads and they talk about a 3660 or something like that. Last summer my wife and I put a 2" body lift on, so while I was reworking fan shroud, I cut side flanges on radiator to run fabed 2x3 tubing and fittings.Who makes the best filter for the buck?
