7.3 IDI vs. 7.3 Powerstroke
If given the choice which one and why?
My answer is an IDI for lack of computers, cheap parts, ability to burn pretty much anything, and being able to fix anything on my own. (plus there is just something about that IDI at idle that nothing compares to IMO)

I like em both. But for power, I'll take my psd any day.
The powerstroke is fairly simple when you know what to look for.

I'd take the PSD over the IDI for power in a relatively simplistic package. I am a bigger fan of the 6.9 from the IDI family than of the 7.3, I have not heard much about cavitation, overheating and other various issues with the 6.9. We won't talk about the pre 84 blocks though.. those were just growing pains. :p

they both blow up the same!
as stated you cant match the power, but the ease of the indirect, and the compatibility of alternative fuels makes the IDI better.
