Time for batteries.
Going to do cables as well, mine are tolerable, but I'm changing to stud top batteries, may relocate as well.
The question I have is: should I go 2/0 or 4/0 for the wire?

If you're staying with the stock location, 2/0 will be fine. Wouldn't hurt to go heavier (except in your wallet) if you put them on the frame somewhere.

I posted last year about the relative resistances (and therefore the voltage drops during cranking), and the difference between 2/0 and 4/0 is trivial for normal cable lengths.
