Banks intake lid question

in 91 F250 Carla's pictures in the gallery of her truck "black beauty" I noticed the lid on her filter housing. From the second I saw it I said "I fickin want it!!". I know that there is an older banks kit this lid comes in. Does anybody have the lid and wants to sell it or the whole kit or know where I can go about gettin one? Here is a pic of her's. I hope she doesnt mind me using her pic and thank you to her if she doesnt.

A little bit off subject now if she reads this its to her. You have the most beautiful truck I think i've ever seen. And its identical to mine except hers is an extended cab( and in alot better shape lol).

It is a pretty hard piece to find, they show up on E-Bay or CL once in a while.

i bought one off a member here a few months ago, i really dig it. u can also buy the filter from banks but its about $90 last i checked. thankfully mine came with the filter.

There was one floating around Ebay for $120 opening bid last I checked.

The idea is pretty nice, but I would prefer to have parts available off the shelf rather than special order myself...

I've never had or driven an NA truck, but I got my dualie from the origional owner, he mention a long grade near his house, new he'd start at the bottom at 55 and hit the top at 54, with the "soup bowl" and 3" banks exhaust he'd start at 55 and hit the top at ~70, I'd say it's a 2 mile stretch.

Probably because when I sold mine, it went for $50 or less IIRC. That's about all I'd give for one.

Yeah, I don't buy this, not with the flat surface on the bottom of the bowl - you want an pointy end down there, really the shape of this artificial whirlpool:

It does give the advantage of larger filter surface tho, which should theoretically allow for increased airflow and thus somewhat better power (can run more fuel this way) but how much of an actual increase it does? Would be nice if someone here could share their before and after observations - Optikalillushun, any noticeable improvement with your truck?

Now thats some spooky looking water hole..... I kinda feel like that after the wifey gives me the what for because she "thinks" I've done something wrong..... Better living with better chemicals I say....
