new to the forum and new to diesels, i bought a 93 f350 7.3 non turbo with e4od, dont know if anything has been done to motor 280,000 miles, bought to pull a 12,000 camper, truck runs fine, been slowly tune it up, installed k&n filter upgraded glow plugs and controller, just purchased a set of injectors, i ordered bb and was sent ab-b npm 780428 tip npm 770073, b is stamped on injector, i contacted shipper he said i can return and he will ship me the bb, but told me no diffrence between the two, should i run them or return for bb, currently truck is running code e, im looking to replace ip with rebuilt, not sure what to do should i run an earlier ip pump, also looking to instal the turbo kit later when money allows, but i want to do a compression test while changing injectors, im working on a budget, but i dont want to replace injectors later, any suggestions or tips would be welcomed thanks

Welcome to the forum. Sounds like you have a set of rebuilt injecters from ebay by what your posting. But please clear this up. Who did you buy from and what was the price. Knowing this we can tell you what you have. As for there being no difference between the different codes is completely wrong. Now any injecter will fit but its going to unbalance the firing of each cylinder causing vibration. How much is to bee seen but you don't want to do that. This forum has found that noramlly rebuilding an injecter is not a good thing to do. The parts costs way more than a new injecter. So how is an ebay seller rebuilding and selling for $100.00 on ebay.. Answer is they are not rebuilding them but your told they are. As for a good injection pump call Mel at Conestoga Diesel in Pa. Many have tried the cheaper pumps but end up buying from him. What he rebuilds is by far the best pump on the market. Non better but plenty cheaper. Before you buy anything ask here first. This forum has purchased from all the ebay sellers and many private shops around this country. We tack those sales too. Many injection pump rebuild shop will "test a pump for flow". If it pas this test its painted and sold as a rebuilt pump. Never ever buy a painted pump. There is a reason for painting a pump. Its to hide something like a dirty body. You can tell if a pump was rebuilt by the blasted body of the pump but.. You can't tell what parts were replaced. Mel uses only the best parts on all of his rebuilds and thats Stanadyne parts. Nothing but the best. After any injecter or injection pump replacement your going to need to time the engine. No amount of guessing you have it close will tell you what the timing is. Those timing marks on the pump and gear cover mean nothing after the factory pump has been replaced.

Welcome to the OB. Lots of info on here about the IDI's
Before buying any parts, check out the Hall of Shame, it will give you some insight on purchases from some vendors. You can draw your own conclusions from there. Be helpful to put your truck in your signature, we don't have to keep referring back to your post's then.
Why are you changing the injectors? The BB code is good for either NA or Turbo. I believe the E code was OEM for 92.5 to 94, emmision probably. There is a member on here that sells injectors that are pop tested, conastogadiesel.com, in PA. Without a turbo, it's going to be a struggle up those PA hills pulling a 12K RV. The E4OD is a good tranny, but it can be upgraded, like a Tugger HD kit for towing, the 93's have all the updates in them except for that.

A road trip to Mel's place with some upgrades installed by him is a wonderful trip to take. You get to drive 2 different trucks. You drive yours there and the truck you drive back is way better and nicer to drive. you have more mpg and better hp feel. Its ironic how the Moose pump increases mpg and hp at the same time. Not many products in this business can say that..

Thanks for recommending to conestoga, I prefer face to face rather than over the phone, Mel was extremely helpful, eventho I didn't buy anything during my visit, he took his time to explain and give me advice, his prices are reasonable, i highly recommend this shop from the visit I had,

Glad you made the road trip. I wish I had a place like that so I could road trip to and have fun asking questions of a specialist like Mel.
