What axle is in the '88 and newer Super duties? Is it still a sterling, or did they put something else in? I am just toying around with the idea of putting one in my truck. I realize modification will be necessary, but that will not be a problem.

Are you talking rear ends? Ford/Sterling 10.25's are in most (all?) SRW trucks and I think Dana 70's or 80's in the daully's.

When they say too narrow, that means that the spring pad spacing is too narrow. The regular pick-up frame is wider and the spring spacing is wider than the cab chassis (C/C) that all the F-Superdutys are. And you can't move the spring pads outboard on the Dana 80 to match the pick-up frame. Hard to do then, unless somebody has come up with another way to do it. Because I want to do it too.

What about taking one from a Dodge? I thought the 2500 used them, which would make them a SRW, but I was also told that they might be a 70/80 hybrid. If so what is from the 70 axle, and what is from the 80 alxe?
