are 87-91 frames same as 92-97?

have a fisher mm1 on a 1988 truck that I want to put on my 93, are the front of the frames on the older ones the same as my 93?

Nope, they ain't not in the front at least - '92-up are boxed from the engine crossmember forward, '91-down are just C-channel. This may or may not matter for the plow mount tho, as it usually bolts to the outer of the frame, and the frame width is the same AFAIK.

I know the frame on my 92 250 from the crossmember up is channeled not boxed.

I know they are different on the '92+ half tons with a boxed accordion frame horn area in preparation for airbags. The swaybar is mounted differently because of this, and I know a reece front mount hitch won't swap. But again I've only examined F-150s and Broncos.

The front of the frame horns is different on the 92+ trucks, the 250/350's are boxed like the F150's, only without the crumple zone. I haven't seen a Fisher plow since I left the east coast, but, with all the other brands I have dealt with, being that the only difference is from the rad support mounts forward, it can be adapted without too much fabrication. The rear part of the push frame that attaches to the sides of the frame will bolt on.

I know the bumper mounts are different. But if you can weld, you can always make up some adapters depending on how the thing mounts on there.About all you can do is take a tape measire to your frame and the plow mounts and see what it's going to take to rig the thing.

The frames are different from the rad support forward. The 87-91 is an open "C". The 87-91 plow frame bolts to the outside of the frame behind the rad support.

The 92-97 frame rails in front of the rad support is boxed. The plow frame actually lays on the frame just in front of the rad supports. You "probably" can use the 87-91 plow on the 92-97 truck but i'm sure you will need to mod something

The 4x4s were, 2wd was still channel.

The 2wds may not be boxed(a 2wd 3/4 or 1 ton here is a very rare thing) but the rails still have the same basic, different shape to them than the 80-91 frames.
