Just wondering what I can expect in the MPG department. I don't want to have to drive all over creation to figger it out this weekend after I pick up the truck with the GV in it.

I figure a good working figure is around 15mpg?

what gears in the back?
Should be a heck of a lot more than that. Heck my 83 with a T19 and 4.10's in the back gets right at 15.

4.10's front and rear. The GV is .76 and I have 33" tires. So I'll be somewhere in the 2300rpm range.

Good that it would be better, might even get 1k cruising range with the 19 and 38 gallon on board tanks.

Mel Agne has that setup but with the 3.54s in the Moose. His sig says 19mpg avg. at 55. I'm sure it goes down a bit if you feel the need to go 80...which you can probably do comfortably with the T19 and GV, just watch out for the cops.

Plan on being around 65-70 for the most part with very light loads. May do the 3.73's too depending on how the gears look when they go in for the limited slips...

You know, you could probably do that if you lower the moose truck. And take off the stacks. And the extenda cab. And the hydraulic steps. And. . .

I guess you'd just have to turn it back to factory stock.

Now that I'm doing limited slips front and back I figure that I might as well drop from 4.10's to the 3.73's then I'd really be cooking with gas!

I don't really need the 4.10's I'm not going to be doing any max cap weight hauling. Figure once you're in there for the slips might as well do the gears it would only be parts cost at that point.

What do yalls think?
