Anybody know what the resistance for the cold advance solenoid should be?

The fuel shutoff solenoid measure about 25 ohms between the terminal and ground. The high idle solenoid measures about 20 ohms between the terminal and ground. The cold advance solenoid only measures 4 ohms between the terminal and ground.

So with the engine off and cold and the key on the fuel shutoff solenoid draws about a half amp, the high idle solenoid draws a little more than half of an amp, but the cold advance solenoid draws a full 3 amps. This doesn't seem right to me. I have looked online but I can't find a specification anywhere.

Does anybody know what that specification is supposed to be? Or wouldn't mind going out to their truck to take a measurement?

Oops, I had the fuel shut off solenoid and cold advance solenoid reversed. It is the fuel shutoff solenoid that is pulling 3 amps and the cold advance that is pulling a half an amp. So I am looking to determine if a 4 ohm resistance for the fuel shutoff solenoid is correct or not.

Sorry about the mix up

What ever the specs say for your fuel shutoff solenoid is the correct ohms. There is no standard.
