Yea, how many of us have sweated and bled and paid out the *** for the parts to get something right on our truck. It is worth it when you get done, wash your hands and take that ever satisfying test ride in your newly improved rig.

Disclaimer: this may not apply to you if your handle is Goose.

Sorry buddy, could'nt resist this time.

No worries Dave. Things are bound to go my way sometime soon;p

Come on. We can stop with the BS. I didn't bring my waders

Farm truck as I call it is a 05 F250 (means I don't have to follow the same rules as big trucks such as time on duty). Leave Clare, MI go to Damascus, PA and back, following the directions of the guy funding the trip. The Ohio turnpike was the slowest part of the trip at 10 over the speed limit.

But the part I was looking at is 500mi in 12-14 hours with a couple of stops lets see 500/12=about 42MPH, 500/14= about 36MPH, 500/10=50, so if your stops were long enough to make it 10-11 hours on the road, or you were in town then it holds up, but across country stopping for fuel and bathroom it would be pretty slow is what I was trying to say.

You don't need the waders for this story. Back in 2005, me and three other guys made it from Oregon City, OR to Disneyland in 14 hrs 40 minutes driving at night. It's a 1001 mile drive. We were in a '00 excursion with a V10 with a 44 gallon gas tank. We ran 85-90+ mph the whole way down I-5, hitting the 98 mph governor alot. We only stopped once near Sacramento to gas up and fill our bellies with Taco Bell :puke: to go.

1001 / 14.66 = 68.25 mph.

My IDI's wouldn't have survived that trip

When we went to Pheonix we were stick in town waiting for 5 hours, total time 42 hours, total miles just over 2000 round trip, 37 hours many stick at unreasonable CA trailer speed limits or stick in traffic, it would be fun to do it again but take 24 hours

The only thing bad about sinking way to much money in a veichle is if it ever gets totaled you wont recoup all the money put into it . but its your veichle and if you fix it up the way you like and it makes you happy more power to you.

Totaled is a loose term, have you seen my repair/build thread?:rotflmao:rotflmao:rotflmao

@ brad your break down was much closer to correct... Real mileage is about 68,000 in 6 months. But that's a turned mile....factor in idle time while I get out and hand load the pallets. Which by my best guess still wears the motor. 100,000 may not be as much exaggerated as it seems.

To the OP, around here he could get 7-8k for that truck all day long, but not 15k. If it was a 95-97 PSD it would probably fetch 10-12k.

So as it sits hes about double what it should go for, again, around here. But its not liike its a 3k dollar truck hes trying to sell for 15k...

And I do like it.:)
