alternator wiring question

I have a white with black stripe wire that runs from the alternator to an 8 wire connectorbut dead ends and does continue on to the gps like the other wires. Someone thought it could be for a voltmeter that didn't come with the van but I don't know.

After much looking, I determined that is a gasser only wire. Goes to the ECM Don't worry about, not applicable to a 6.9.

Instead of having seperate wiring harnesses, these trucks have everything for gas and diesel, regardless of engine used.

Looking at the wiring diagrams for the truck in that rangemight be similar for the E-series, it appears to be for the choke relay or heater pending on which gasser engine they had installed.
Yep one vehicle harness does it all.
