Please read all this as there are a couple of things which I need a head count for.

Shall we do a Chinese grab bag? When?

Here's the final, final, final (unless something changes) itinerary:

Friday
meet and greet, campfire lying, lay of the land type stuff.

Saturday AM
Truck drags. We'll need to get done early so as to not interfere with the fireworks set up.

Saturday PM
Individual photos with trucks across the highway overlooking the entire Ohio valley. Maybe a group shot there, too.

Little Farm on the River fireworks presentation. The owner of the campground does fireworks displays for a living, so it should be good.

Sunday AM

Pancakes and sausage at the Goodwin site.

start cleaning 'em up as we'll do show and shine later.

Sunday noonish
Rising Sun car show downtown Rising Sun

Sunday afternoonish
show and shine

Sunday sunsetish
awards, potluck, more lying

Monday early AM
Canoe trip on the Whitewater River (need a head count here)

app. $15.00 per person kids (in your canoe) free based upon numbers.

Lunch

Monday evening
Spaghetti fest with the Goodwins. We'll provide noodles and meatballs, you bring your own sauce, drinks, plates and utensils

Tuesday afternoon
Indoor go karts $45 per person if we do the 3 race package, less if we don't.
See Here: http://www.competitionracing.net/race/formats.htm. I'm leaning on the "naskart" race.

Tuesday evening dirt track racing at Lawrenceburg speedway. possible parade lap if enough interest (need head count here)

Wednesday noonish

Madison, IN winery toor and siteseeing. This is a turn of the century river town with amazing architecture, plus they'll be preparing for the regatta (unlimited hydroplane boat racing). We'll go to 3 wineries in Madison.

Wednesday 5ish. Pizza at Roxano's in Vevay, IN. Vevay is between Rising Sun and Madison. Roxano's has killer pizza and breadsticks. Anyone who doesn't go to Madison can meet us here for dinner.

Wednesday 7 or 8ish. The Ridge winery in Vevay, IN. Last stop on the winery express. The Ridge also has a deck that we've been invited to sit upon and take in the 4th of July fireworks at Belterra (a riverboat casino down the way that has a spectacular fireworks display). Oh, and children are welcome to attend but they can't go in to where the wine tasting is.

Wednesday 11ish. I'll drive home 'cuz I don't drink.

Thursday Nothing. I'd suggest y'all look into Cincinnatti happenings. Some have discussed King's Island, there's museums, you name it. Amy, Solomon, and I are going to Creation Museum across the river in Kentucky.

Friday--1st Friday in Vevay. Shops open late, outdoor music, ****** de ovaries (you know ordurves).

Did you get any information on visitors? I might bring the tent on Friday and rent a spot overnight if they have something, will try to call.

Have had major change of plans for residency etc. so I may have a little time on my hands. Will not be bringing truck though, just my van.

What day are you headed down south? The boxes I sent you (Priority Mail) should be to your house by Tuesday.

Official rules are 4 people to a site. More than that pay $5 per per night. If you show, we'll figure out something.

No problem paying for a site. Just wondered if they will have any left. If not, I will just come home. The question was more aimed at if it is ok to visit?

They arrived today. Thank you thank you thank you. They turned out fantastic.

Holy crap! I just sent them the day before yesterday. If I had sent you a letter, it would have taken two weeks. Looks like the Post Office was really on the ball this week. You did get two boxes I hope.;Really

Anyway. I'm glad you like them. I hope the recipients like them as well.
