Alignment....Finally

I had my F250 aligned on Thursday, the caster was in spec much to my surprise and the camber was ok but the toe was out a country mile...It took 4 complete turns on the sleeve to get the toe in spec....It drives better, doesn't pull near as much and maybe the next set of tires will last......Worth the $81 it cost...Maybe my MPG will go up too...bit.Time to start shopping for new rubber, what sizes are a little bit bigger than the stock 235-85-16 tires?

I just got mine finished yesterday too. First goround they didn't have a slug big enough to bring the camber all the way in. He had a 2.5 degree that he put in and brought it back as far as he could and then he gave it back to me and ordered a 2.75 degree slug for it. Appartently it took the full 2.75 degrees, but now she doesn't pull, and I had already noticed a pretty good millage improvement before I took it back in the second time. Labor cost me about $140, but I know that it took him about 6 or 8 hours total, maybe a little more, so I'm not going to complain too much.

do u want to go wider and taller, just wider or just taller? u can run a 255/85/16 which is a little wider (i think) or a 285/75/16 which is a little taller and a little wider.

or u can always run a 315/75/16 which is a lot wider, a lot bigger and measures out to a 35x11.50x16

255/85 is not that common, not a lot of tires to choose from. 285/ 75 is way more common, but in d rating, you can get e rated ones but the cost goes up even more.

I run 255/85 and love the size, but there arent a lot of choices.

My death wobble is still there. I'm going to pull the track bar out tonight and check the bushings...If they are toast I'll rob the bar from myF350 until I can get some bushings. The wobble is becoming more frequent and annoying. I'm going to check my shimmy shock as well.

i am running 265/75/r16 and they are are okay. I'd like to get something a little bigger too like 33s or 35s but i need a bit of lift.

I found my wobble issue...My track bar bushings are toast...The frame end is really bad...I'll buy some new bushings tomorrow and swap them in tommorow night...Hopefully it will be cured. I changed my steering shaft tonight....What a PITA that was, I had to cut it off with the torch but the new one has no slop in it.....Are the track bar bushings easy to find or are they something I will need to search the planet for?

FYI - I changed the track bar bushings....They were toast....I haven't felt the death wobble since and the truck handles better...New alignment, new steering shaft and new track bar bushings....Drives like new again.....Now it's time for some new rubber.....I was pricing new tires and recaps Saturday - recaps were about 70% of the new tires....The tread depth and design is my concern as I want something good in the snow.
