If you want a simple fix, put in a check valve on the supply side.
"Correct" fix would be replace your return cap orings, full line "olives," and the hose between the lift pump and frame rail.

Ja, that might be the solution for now...don't want to mess with the fuel system on a piecemeal basis...if and when I do, it will be the whole schmazozzle...IP, injectors, lines...the whole thing.

I'm kinda in the same boat where I get air in the fuel system but it's at random times hot or cold it doesn't matter. Could it be my lift pump starting to go out?

I think Russ Repair sells a return line kit that also comes with olives. Double check my Intel on that. He also sells a hard line delete kit that allows you to run hose instead.
