Dont mean to hi-jack too much but I figured why start another thread on the same topic. How would I find out what bags are on my truck? I dont see any writing that I can find on there anywhere?

My truck came with them via the PO.

Thanks Brad.

I'd like to try to make these work first before I go drop some big coin though.

Here's my dilemma.

Either cut off the tab going outward and reweld it going inward. OR call firestone or airlift and get just the top mount

simple and i have done this before re drill the air bag mount on the top to slide the top mount towards the front of the truck just enough to clear that hitch ... problem solved

That's what I'd do. Eliminates the risk of a weld breaking from repositioning the mounting tab too.

One problem with that idea. When the bags are deflated and the suspension is cycled, the top bracket will HIT the bottom bracket:eek:

Instructions say you never want less than 10 lbs. air in the bags after mounting.IIRC.

Yeah, Airlift is a brand name. Used to sell them, just as good as Firestone or any others.

Yup theyre still holding up!;Sweet

I know I can do it. I'm wanting to see what others have done and to share some advice.

I wasn't really keen on cutting and welding them to the rail mounts as to keeping those 2 systems separate and individually serviceable.

It's looking like I'm gonna drill the back sides and spacer out the front mount on the upper bag bracket to keep them parallel to the frame rails.;Sweet

So much for an easy bolt on mod. What was I thinking.:D
