I have 5 YO Batteries in my 92. It is getting to be time to replace them. I have looking at the Odessy, Optima and Diehard P2. Are these any good or should I go for the Standard batteries?

My dad just had to go battery shopping, and from what we were able to find out, apparently the Sears Diehard Platinum 2 is an Odyssey- and it seems to be a _very_ good battery.

Just get a pair of group 31s stud top big truck batts. They will generally have around 1100-1150ca and an insanely high reserve capacity which is what you need for cranking diesels on cold mornings . You could spend $350 on an Odyssey but the specs are near the same as the ones you buy in a truck stop for under a hundred. Truck Pro usually has them for around $80-90 sometimes less. nice thing about 31s is that you can get them out on the road at any truck stop if you have one fail.
