The way UPS Surepost has worked the two times I've used it UPS transferred the package to the Post Office and I picked it up there. The worst part of Surepost is the package isn't in hurry.
The package is weighed at 16.4lbs.
My alternator tested bad and it started squealing earlier today.

My new alternator should be here Thursday. Now I just hope my batteries hold until then as I can't quit driving the truck. Its my daily. I'll likely take off Friday to work on it. I'll replace the belt while I'm at it as well.

Concerning the thermostat. The thermostat is operating correctly, seeing as my truck's temperature stays good, so can I just reseal it and go on? I'm thinking of resealing it with RTV. Yay or nay?

So, I'm being ambitious this weekend. There have been a few maintenance things I've been putting off and I'm gonna try and take care of most of them this weekend.
Replace the alternator and reseal the thermostat, of course. I'm also gonna replace the belt. Those I'm certain I can get done.
I'm also going to try and reseal my oil cooler and replace the bad U joint on my front driver side axle on the outside.
That list takes care of most of the major problems with my truck, that I'm aware of.

Those ujoints are a pain.
Instead of them looking up the belt, take yours in or get the number off it.

No doubt. Definitely can't trust them to get it right.
It's not like I could just run into town and exchange the belt if it were the wrong part.

Yep. I used the one they showed, none were the right length.
I wanna say orielly finally had it, but I found it with the part number from the old one.
Also check all the pulleys while it's off. May need a idler or something.

I always do my best to cross reference parts on their websites and ask exactly that when I go in. Fortunately we do have a Napa here now.
I was gonna order the Motarcraft belt from diesel o rings with the oil cooler seal kit but it was spec-ed for 99 up

Ah, yeah. I wanna say the first belts I tried were from napa. I know I had to get the idler pulley there.
