My engine is idling a lil high I think. The tach shows it idling at 8-900 RPM whether its warm or just started. How can I lower this to 650-700?

Just go out and turn the idle stop screw at the injection pump. If you have a manual tranny with a solid flywheel conversion, you might want to leave it a little high, it seems to help get rid of the gear roll-over noise with this setup.

OK...that sounds easy enough, but where do I find the idle screw and which way do I turn it?

Find the idle set screw on the passenger side of the injection pump. Its connected to the throttle arm near the side of the pump and has a spring maintaining pressure on it. Unscrew it to lower the rpm. You probably will have to open the throttle a little to reach the adjusting screw. Maybe a 1/2 turn is all it needs of as posted. Just leave it where it is.
