Nearly 20 years ago I bought an old Farm Truck on eBay for $2000, I was really sick and needed a project to keep my sanity. After some 10 years, it becme the most reliable starting and operating vehicle we owned, which enabled it to go to work on our version of a farm several years ago. Last month, after some 20 years of fixing on it, I sold it to someone who needs it more and can give it the care and maintainence it needs. I'd like to think I was a good steward, and gave it another life - I suspect it will out live us all.
That 85 IDI was quite the project, some stories I've enumerated in posts here, I hope they were not boring. There were so many who helped me work through everything from glow plug horrors to starting issues (many), water separator, 4-0 cables, brakes, axles, fuel tanks, senders, shocks - so so many things. I wanted to thank you all, for the good common sense, great advice, and the temporary use of all your brain power to solve some of my problems.
Some photos of what it became... Thank you all - I wish you the best.
