Say what?!?!
I've been having lots of problems lately, with a fuel starvation issue. When I installed my Dura-Lift pump last year, I was running a high percentage WMO mix as fuel. I believe it weakened the pump, but didn't destroy it. I'm now running a much thinner WMO mix and a lot more diesel in it, but couldn't get much above 1800RPM's before the fuel filter light would come on.
I bought another Dura-Lift pump for my 87, but hadn't installed it yet. After reading Exekiel69's post (Here) I thought about adding it to my 93's system. I didn't want it under the truck like the other one and mounted it off my auxiliary fuel filter mount. It sits a little high there, but only touches the blanket a little. I wired it to the existing fuel filter relay, since the relay itself is rated for 30AMPS.
Took it for a test drive and the tach actually went over 3 grand! I haven't ever seen 3 grand on it, in this truck! I also climbed a 5% grade in 4th gear and accelerated! I also took it on the interstate and kept my foot to the floor for about a mile. No fuel filter light at all...
Here's a couple of pics of the install..
