almost bought that. But was hoping that there was another way. Guess it is still a lot cheaper than the local shop.

I will go back tomorrow, and be cool for vacation just a week away....

Well, if you were closer, you could use mine, but shipping alone would be more than that unit! :)

I am sure it is not a bad thing to have. I have never needed one. But with 2 cars with dead AC, (soon 1) and another running 134, and HF about a 20 min drive, I will get one.

There are adaptors to attach the R12 gauge set to the R134a fittings.

Last time I used mine I set them on the front bumper of my Mustang II and drove away later. Now I only have one :-(

But I do not have a r-12 set either.
Sounds pretty simple to do. Any thing I should watch out for?

dsblack mac's quoted me $160 to vacumn down & recharge they've always done a good job for me & they're close to you.

mac's just quoted me $235 to do this. for a little less than $100 I got the stuff now. Just got to learn to use it....
