first time posting long time looker. I have a early 99 f350 super duty (build date 7/98) the other day started it in the morning and had engine miss, it was running fine the day before.there is not a check engine light on, the oil has been changed 1000 miles ago (delo 10w-40) i did not have scanned yet (going to take it monday or tuesday),but i used a laser thermometer and it appears that pass side 1st and 2nd cyl are running colder that the rest.so im thinking uvch, so i cut the pigtail off a ihc bus with a 444e in it (to use as a test lead) and ohmed out injectors.here is where it gets wild on the driver side all 4 injectors were reading 4.0 ohms on 200 ohm setting on meter.when i tested the pass side they were all between 35.0 and 100 with the one fluctuationing between 80-100 ohms.so i am still thinking harness possible injectors. My question is i have 2 sets of injectors from ihc 3800 busses that are known good.i called ford with my vin and build date and they say my injectors are #1-7 AB code and # 8 AF code, the ones from the busses are AD AND AE coded .If i need a injector or 2, if i replace all injectors with the AD-AE code injectors will i have to do anything with the pcm, ficm?any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance BOB It is a 1999 f350 sperduty 4x4 6 speed all stock,no chip

The AD and AE injectors are definitely different.
Personally, I would quit trying to hodgepodge parts and buy new/reman injectors from a reputable builder.
You would need tuning for the AD and AE'S.

ideally new injectors would be fantastic, unfortunately i just bought a house and injectors are not in the budget at this moment .i was just wondering if they would work in that application since they are both splitshot injectors only the ad will flow more fuel.thanks for the reply

May run "okay" But you'll want tuning.
Having two sets (technically 3 including the ones in the truck), see if someone will work with you for some.

The injectors are probably fine. Pull the valve cover and check the harness for a loose connection or burnt wiring. Could be as simple as the 50 cent mod.

^ Yeah, I wouldn't suspect injectors before replacing all the harnesses.
And before you ask, dorman is not okay. Motorcraft only.

thought the FICM was a 6.0 deal.
would the IDM have issues running the ADAE sticks?

Correct on FICM being 6.0.
The engine would run those injectors, just make run like crap or be real smokey.

I would sure replace the UVCH gasket before I did anything. Had the same problem on the drivers side on my 99.5. The pass side is a ***** to change, lots of stuff to remove. Haven't changed mine on that side yet, but got the gasket just in case. The newer gaskets have a better locking tab.
