I have a 99 SD with a bad engine. And an excellent runner in a 1995 E350 that I want to swap in. Just to clarify what all I need to change over. Running the SD ECM.

-Injectors and harnesses from the SD swapped onto the 1995 engine.
-Turbo, plenums.
-Mechanical fuel pump delete, for the electric pump in the SD
-HPOP from the SD.
-Accessory drive.

Does the front cover need to come from the SD engine?
Anything else that i'm missing?

I should know this, but cant remember if anything is different between the covers.

Probably could use the dipstick tube thing fixed, and by the time the pan is off, its not to much work to swap the covers if you leave the hpop and fuel filter housing on it.

The 1995 F250350 has a different water pump/thermostat/heater spigot than all the later OBS years. If you haven't updated all that stuff you should. The 1995 specific stuff is still available, but harder to find (read pricier). I can't speak to anything van specific and/or 1999-up 7.3 stuff, but I think the oil pan might be different. Easy enough to swap and if it's got that crazy oring sealed dipstick I'd fix that while it was off as fixing one of those in the truck is a horror show.

How about the IPR. I recall there are some different part number designations from early to late OBS years.
Is there a reason the 95 IPR wouldn't jive when it's running in a SD truck?
