If you haven't found it yet, the U-pull-it in Conway is behind Linns Auto Salvage/Sales on Hwy 64/ E Oak St. I believe you turn south on Simon Road right in front of Linns and it will be just down on the left at 850 Simon Road.
If you aren't familiar with Linns, it is about 3/8 of a mile east of Chick-Fil-A.

Not quite as local, but Pick-n-Pull also has a yard in Cabot and a yard on Baseline Rd in southwest LR. Baseline has quite a few 85-96 F150s and a several broncos, but they may be more picked over than the one in Conway. I haven't been to the one in Cabot in a while, but they usually have several too.

cpdenton and I visited the upull it place. plenty of good trucks to pull stuff from. i dropped a piece of trim, and need to go back and get it. cpdenton helped me pull a new dashplate for my truck. thanks, and sorry you had to wait on me.

today I found out my truck does not like to run on quarter tank, (with fuel splashing around, I'm guessing), the truck would start to buck/miss a bit.. either not enough pressure or fuel is splashing around, introducing air.
my rear tank is pressurized. i need to find out why. i did not fill it with diesel today... at $4/gal, i'd be sad to have to drain it back, and not be able to burn it.

oh, and truck is smoking black as i put load on it.. maybe someone played with the fuel adjustment to compensate for bad glow-plugs, or air in the system?

Fuel pick up tube in the tank may be broke off as well. Never dealt with this my self, but many threads on here talking about it. Just have to replace the broke off tube with some fuel hose with a v cut on the bottom end so it won't suction to the bottom of the tank.

Speed sensor saga continues! I just bought a new speed sensor to replace the suspected broken one. Ohm the new one, and we are at 1900 range. Ohm the old one, and we are somewhere in 1000 range.. does not tell me much. replace the axle speed sensor, fire the truck up, and something beautiful happens -- the truck went from odo to trip meter, and reset itself to 0. ok.. test drive... no joy. speedometer is not moving. pull the truck over. keep the truck running. chock the wheels, sensor cable off, volt meter... 0 volts to the speed sensor. blah.. back to the cockpit, re-ohm every known fuse.. they are all good..

I'm out of ideas at this point.

huh-oh.. i spent 6 hours yesterday fiddling with the clutch slave cylinder. mine is one of the plastic slaves that does not come with a bleed valve. i have read a few articles here about bleeding the clutch hydraulics, but none worked for me.

This is where I am at. I re-installed the clutch slave cylinder. I've loaded it with tension, and hooked up two rubber arms to the cylinder assembly, that way the rod is fully depressed. I have bleed the line independently as best as possible.

What should be my next step? Help

I would go to autozone and buy a metal slave cylinder for 15 bucks. When I installed mine, I cracked the bleeder it has, and let it gravity bleed for 15 minutes or so and I was good to go. Good luck.

This is what I used on mine. Showing to be in stock. Don't know the difference in 92 and 93 models. Worked great for me.

I just did some more looking. Looks like year model difference. Anyone know if they will work. My transmission is out of a 95 model, but the 92 slave cylinder worked just fine.

I picked up the same part from OReily's. I finally have a nice clutch pedal feel, and no more 2x4 under my foot to keep the clutch from going all the way to the floor. Pedal feels so nice and soft like a sports car. I also had to buy brand new calipers today. I couldnt bare to put the old ones back in. They were completely frozen. Brand new set, and new pads, and I got braking action. Need to bleed them a bit more. A bit soft... It only took 6 hours for both jobs

What brand of vacuum pump do you recommend?

I went with NAPA Reman. This vacuum pump is tight! It's on the truck, and she is providing very good suction on the booster!
