Sorry it has come to this but... You will have a motor when its all done and not a block with a hole in it. Gaskets are cheap compared to another motor. Everyone here will agree with what you are doing. Another member on another site had a shop change his glow plugs and when he got his truck back it had a bad knock. After fighting with the owner of the shop it turns out the "mechanic" broke off a few glow plugs and just started the motor up trying to blow them out the exhaust valve. It ruined some pistons.... There are some real dumb@$$'S out there calling themselves mechanics. Good luck and post back with questions. Plenty of help here....

Well today Its reassemble time and one good question I have is when the Ip came out we took it off as a whole piece with the filler tube housing gear injector lines all still on. We were frazzled by this time and did not even think about timing gear marks. So the motor is still where we left it but the gear on the Ip has moved and how do I figure out how to get the timing gears to re align?
