86 6.9 rod knock?? Options??

If you can hear it run, you (or someone else maybe?) can usually tell the difference. It's all in the pitch of the tone and the "crispness" of the sound of the knock.

Diesel knock is something some find hard to find.
What you do is cut out each injector to find out which is causing it.
To cut out, loosen the nut on the injector while it's running. Yes it'll make a mess, but it 'turns off the injector'

Alternatively if you have a stethoscope (within closer reach than your nearest line wrench), then you could also use that and net the same results without getting sprayed with fuel.

Havent heard it run yet, going to see it this coming friday. Im buying it assuming a bad engine. The turbo kit and some other parts are worth what im paying
