I have a 93 7.3 idi with 220000 with new injectors and injector pump with new caps and return lines. And gp and gr are new. Compression cold was 410/450 and running was 750/900.

I have a problem with idle is sounds alittle off like one is
firing late or early it does do it when it's more warm then
cold. And then I also driving down the road staying at the
same gas pedal position it act like I gave it more gas. so
far it does it more when the overdrive is turn on haven't
done much testing with out overdrive because I'm going
40 mph at 2000rpms. But I think that could be. torque converter problem.

Oh and this is my first diesel I own I do work on some
cummins but not a whole bunch.

#1 get it timed.
this needs to be done after an IP change. always.
marks are only a reference

#2, check fuel supply.
sounds like shes running out of fuel.
replace LP or install electric pump.
check fuel pressure coming out of fuel filter. should be 5 psi +

8 to 9 psi max.

Where did you get your injection pump and injectors?

Welcome to the forum. So you posted the injectors were new. How are you determining this. Some shops will sell a new rebuilt or a new refurbished injector. It makes the buyer think they are getting new parts when they really are not. As for timing. This is a very important item that many just do not do. Now if you actually did all the work you posted about then surely you can time this engine very easily. Not knowing where or what state you are in does not allow us to tell you who is near by that has a meter.

They both are remains but had to swap two of them for new one because it was making it miss but fix the miss now just a slight miss or rough idle sometimes. Now I just drove it dowe the road at full throttle real quick back to idle it was up and down from 650 to 850

Ok.. Now we know what you have and its not new. That makes a big difference. I know we all look for the best least costly part but we need to know what we are buying too. As for trusting a rebuilt injector. I will not. I know whats inside them and the parts to repair them cost more than a new injector. If you choose to shop the ebay sites be sure of what you are buying. New is new and anything else is not. Buying from known recommended sellers that have a great rep on this forum will get to long lasting parts. This has been proven many times over. I'm also thinking your injection pump is suspect too. Sorry for the not so good news.

Sounds an awful lot like internal injection pump problems to me. Not being able to regulate idle speed is certainly an issue.

What were the symptoms that caused you to change out these parts in the first place? Did those symptoms go away?

It could be fuel delivery as well, but a fuel pressure gauge will let you know real quick.

I know the pump is a remain. I looked them up the injectors are new here's the part number 67593 from bwd. I'm getting it timed next week to ultimate that. And put on new lift pump if needed. Have to get a set of gauges for fuel pressure.

Hard start after warm so first guess was injector pump. changed it first. It had a really rough idle because the injectors was poping off at lower then normal pressure. Changed all 8 with return line problem went away so I thought. Came back but pin it down to two injectors changed them runs great till heavy acceleration and then let off. Then idle roams around 650 to 850 or so. Also when it accelerates without moving the pedal I have more pick up and go for a few seconds so I'm thinking lift pump could be bad.

Fuel starvation will cause that burst of power you describe, but if it wasn't doing it with your original pump, then I doubt your lift pump is bad. It pains me to see people putting all kinds of time into bad parts.

So it could be a clot in a rubber or metal line I'm going to blow out my lines
No one mentioned that.
Don't go there, rarely do lines have debris in them unless a rubber line is deteriorating inside. If you were/are running with a 1/4 tank or less, if the pickup foot (commonly known as a shower head) in the tank has broken off you will have those symtoms, if you have hard/long starts with more than a 1/4 tank, then you have air intrusion in the suction/supply line.
Please put your truck in your signature, that way we don't have to go back to your original post or remember what you have.
