My NA 7.3 idi for my mild turbo build seems it will need a .030" over bore to clean up. The block is rust free, pressure tested, and all head bolt threads intact. Researching it seems most advise against boring this motor over due to cavitation. Is the cavitation concern blown out too much or is it really a concern? .015" taken from the cylinder wall just does not seem like much..

Am I running too much risk boring to .030? Should I sleeve all eight cylinders back to standard OR can I just sleeve the problematic cylinders? Which cylinders are most problematic for cavitation?

It seems if the rear two cylinders are most prone to cavitation/forming pinholes, I could just sleeve those two cylinders and bore everything .030 over.

Appreciate any thoughts or input

You'll want to have all or none sleeved to keep all the same size due to balancing.

Ive read of people who have bored to .30 over and did just fine on a boosted application. Just keep your coolant scas under control and you'll do fine.
