Just curious Will these two bell housings interchange?

The diesel zf and the gas zf are different by a little. It can be drilled out to fit using the block adapter off the engine though. Typ4 has done it and Hesutton is in the process of doing it.

Here ya go. Bigrigtech did it too. They are calling it the typ4 mod. Scroll down and there is a pic with typ4 explaining it.

So far so good, I drove mine on a 220KM road trip the other day, it worked great. Zero vibrations, just the usual SMF and ZF chatter at idle in neutral. The 460 trans is good for heavy loads, geared low in the first three holes.

The tranny has an intergal bell housing, you have to change the front case half of the transmission. They are interchangeable w/ no drilling required.

thanks guys I have both of these trannys and the zf from the diesel has a weak synchronizer and the one from the 460 doesnt so just thought Id swap them out if possible to make for a better sell.
