Friend of mine has a new 6.0 and would like to know if the fuel system runs off of oil pressure like the 7.3's do or are they a main rail kinda like the Dodge an GM.

injectors are run like the heui system

siemenst makes good products... for gassers , unfortunately diesel injectors aren't one of them... but the new revised injectors supposedly make less oil;)

Hydraulic Electronic Unit Injection......HEUI

Basically hydraulic oil pressure from a separate HP oil pump that shares its oil with the crankcase...which does explain why powerstrokes take more oil than GM and Dodge does and the system can be brought to its knees if the wrong viscosity is used (no start in colder climes) and services must be religiously followed or the HP oil pump fails, can stick an injector open...bye bye piston/Engine.

Everything you wanted to know but were afraid to ask can be found HERE

Yeah, oil pressure........or lack there of. 6L is in the same boat. BUT Those '07 6.4L will have a common rail fuel system. That collective "OH MAN" just came from the cummins boys.
