Anyone heard or seen how the new daimler chrysler bodys are holding up under repeated abuse. I drive a 95 cummins on alot of rough gravel roads. The body has cracks and splits behind the cab and in the bed. I'd appreciate it if anyone has any feedback before i decide to get new one.

my cummins has 240,000 miles on it and most have been on gravel, due to my job as a heavy equipment operator. I love the cummins motor but can't say much for the tinny body metal.

Problem is that all makes of trucks have about the same thickness of metal, they just put bends and creases into them for strength

I would bet that any of the newer trucks are going to be better. The newer designed trucks are getting away from flexing frames by making the boxed or rolled edges to give better torsional ridgedness and making the suspension do it's job.
Or maybe you watched 1 to many Duke's of Hazzard shows and are beating it to the ground :D
